China Releases Two Food Machinery Standards
China has officially released two new food machinery industry standards, JB/T 15542-2026 (Compound Double-Layer Biscuit Forming Machine) and JB/T 15543-2026 (Dry-Baked Cake Production Line). Both standards were issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) in March 11,2026. They are scheduled to come into effect on September 1, 2026.
These two standards target different categories of food processing equipment. JB/T 15542-2026 applies to forming machines used for Composite double-layer biscuit equipment formed by roller-cutting method. JB/T 15543-2026, on the other hand, applies to dry-baked cake production lines. Together, they further clarify equipment classification within the baked goods processing sector.
In terms of content, both standards follow the general framework of machinery industry specifications, including technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and requirements for marking, packaging, transportation, and storage. The standards define key aspects such as equipment structure, operational performance, and verification methods, providing a unified reference for evaluating equipment quality and consistency.
The release of these standards provides clearer technical guidance for equipment selection and comparison. By establishing standardized requirements for different product categories, they help improve consistency in equipment performance evaluation and support more structured procurement decisions in the food processing industry.
Overall, JB/T 15542-2026 and JB/T 15543-2026 contribute to a more defined and standardized framework for bakery equipment in China, offering practical reference points for both equipment manufacturers and global buyers.
