It is understood that as of October 2025, China-Europe trains will have a total of 118600 trains, transporting goods 11.7 million standard boxes, and the logistics service network will cover the whole of Asia and Europe. The categories of goods transported have expanded to 53 categories and more than 50000 commodities. High value-added goods such as auto parts, machinery and equipment, electronic and electrical appliances have become China's main export commodities through the China-Europe train, accounting for more than 60% in 2024. The categories of goods transported from Europe to China through the China-Europe train have covered mechanical and electrical products, precious metals, medical devices, etc., and more and more products with European characteristics have entered the Chinese market on the China-Europe train.

The rapid development of China-Europe Express has made the "the belt and road initiative" initiative more accessible. The increasingly perfect service network of China Europe train has led to the rapid growth of logistics and related industries. A number of new industrial and commercial centers and industrial parks have emerged, bringing more employment opportunities and income to local people.

The China-Europe Express has also promoted the prosperity and growth of the port economy and the hub economy. The small Polish border town of Malasevic has become an important logistics distribution center of the European Union due to the China-Europe train, driving the rapid economic growth of the region. Duisburg, Germany, has realized the transformation from a traditional industrial city to an important logistics hub in Europe, and the China-Europe Express has become its new city card. Madrid, Spain, has further consolidated its position as the largest small commodity distribution center in Europe due to the opening of the China-Europe train, becoming the main source of goods for customers in Europe and even in African countries. The Qingbaijiang old industrial zone in Chengdu, China, has explored a new path for the transformation and development of the old industrial city due to the new vitality of the China-Europe train.

In addition, the rapid development of China-EU trains has brought new opportunities for economic and trade cooperation along the route. From 2013 to 2024, the value of China-EU freight trains increased by about 33 times, and its share of total China-EU trade increased from 0.4 per cent to 8.5 per cent.
