The China Import and Export Fair (commonly known as the Canton Fair) is China's longest-running and largest comprehensive international trade fair. It serves as a vital trade platform for Chinese enterprises to showcase products and expand overseas markets, as well as for global buyers to seek suppliers. The fair covers a wide range of industries including machinery and equipment, electronics and electrical appliances, household goods, textiles and garments, food, and healthcare, providing suppliers from various sectors and international buyers with opportunities for product display, trade negotiation, and commercial cooperation.

The 140th Canton Fair (Autumn) will be held from October 15 to November 4, 2026, in Guangzhou, taking place in three phases with a total exhibition area of approximately 1.55 million square meters. The 139th Canton Fair attracted 314,000 overseas buyers from 220 countries and regions, demonstrating the fair's significant global influence in international trade and global supply-demand matching.

This edition of the Canton Fair is divided into three distinct themed phases:

Phase 1 centers on "Advanced Manufacturing," primarily featuring industrial manufacturing, processing machinery, automation, and related technological equipment.

Phase 2 centers on "Quality Home Decor," focusing on household items, kitchenware, furniture, and decorative products.

Phase 3 centers on "A Better Life," covering food, apparel, toys, medical and healthcare items, and personal care products.

Together, the three phases form a comprehensive trade platform encompassing both industrial production and daily consumer goods, catering to the procurement and market expansion needs of different buyers.

Fair Highlights

  • Gathering of Global Buyers to Expand the International Food Machinery Market

The Canton Fair has long been oriented toward the global market, drawing buyers from numerous countries and regions across various industries including machinery equipment, electronics, home goods, and consumer products. Food machinery enterprises can leverage this international trade platform to connect with overseas importers, equipment distributors, and industry buyers, gain insights into purchasing demands across different markets, and explore equipment export and channel partnership opportunities.

  • "Bridge of Trade" Industrial Tours Connecting International Demand with Manufacturing Resources

Through initiatives like "Bridge of Trade — China Industrial Tour," the Canton Fair extends international trade matching directly to industrial clusters and production enterprises. This helps buyers gain a deeper understanding of China's industrial infrastructure and supply capabilities. These activities not only foster connections between buyers and sellers, but also provide valuable opportunities to inspect suppliers' production conditions and manufacturing capacities. Food machinery buyers can focus on matchmaking events tailored to food processing, packaging, and equipment manufacturing sectors.

  • Canton Fair 365 Year-Round Operations Extending Trade Matchmaking

Canton Fair 365 extends the fair's trade services to a year-round operation, providing a continuous channel for domestic and overseas enterprises to display products, search for business partners, and conduct supply-demand matchmaking. Compared with the biannual physical exhibitions held every spring and autumn, this year-round operational model enables businesses to keep cultivating potential clients and maintaining trade contacts long after the fair concludes. For food machinery manufacturers and buyers, this offers enhanced opportunities for pre-fair supplier screening and post-fair business follow-ups.
